Fedora 30 -- install from XFCE spin
I don't like Gnome, and would be happy if I never had to deal with it.
The stock Fedora install will give you Gnome, but allow you to switch
to Xfce on a user by user basis when the user logs in.
I don't want any of that. I just want XFCE.
We will see how this works out.
The spin downloads as a 1.5G ISO image -- Fedora-Xfce-Live-x86_64-30-1.2.iso.
I follow the instructions to verify the image, and get:
sha256sum -c *CHECK*
Fedora-Xfce-Live-x86_64-30-1.2.iso: OK
This was placed on a USB "thumb drive" via:
dd if=Fedora-Xfce-Live-x86_64-30-1.2.iso of=/dev/sdg bs=16M
