The Blue Willow ****

On the east side of Campbell, a bit north of Grant.

I tried this place in April of 2012 after seeing it listed as one of the top 3 breakfast spots in Tucson Lifestyle Magazine. I was quite pleased.

The Blue Willow has a great reputation for vegetarian food, so it was not without trepidations that someone like me (with a liking for truck-stop food) paid a visit. They do offer plenty of vegetarian options, but are by no means restricted to that. I ordered the Blue Willow Special, which was scrambled eggs with lots of chicken and could not have been more pleased. There was lots of it, and plenty of home fried potatoes alongside; more than I could eat, which is rare.

Coffee was very good, service was great, nothing to complain about.

An extra was the garden environment in their enclosed patio. Granted this visit was on a perfect April Day, but this was very pleasant. I was fearing tiny delicate portions and sipping coffee from dainty teacups, but there was none of that nonsense.

This could be the best breakfast spot in Tucson. Fairly busy at 9:00 AM on a Tuesday. Not bargain priced, but fair, and you absolutely get your moneys worth.
