The Convoy S2+ with SST20 (2024)

My first of these just arrived. 4000K with eight 7135. Good for 3140 mA they say. It has the "12 group" firmware (the new word for Biscotti).

It already has me upset. I comes with group 1 enabled aparently. This has 5 solid modes, then three blinking modes. The last of these tricks you into thinking the light is off, then after some delay flashes into your eyes. I hate this. I still have a big "ball" burned into my vision.

So let's switch it to mode group 2, which has 5 solid modes and no blinking modes. Even set that way, it may find some way to blink at me and get me angry.

Switching it is a bit of a battle, but here is how it goes:

The number of blinks tells you the mode you get if you turn the light off right after. If you miss the opportunity, you either need to grind your way through all 12 modes until it repeats, or you can start all over.

Mode 2 gives 0.1, 1.0, 10.0, 35., 100.

I'll note that my testing of previous 12 mode "Biscotti" lights told me that the 100 mode was actually 50. I have yet to check if they have fixed this bug. It doesn't really matter. 50 percent, even with four 7135 was plenty bright.
