Turbo Sleuth overview
Crystal Sleuth is a signficant program.
It consists of about 34,000 lines of Fortran 90 code in 113 files.
It has code to handle both Raman and Xray diffraction data.
It has been a mainstay of the RRUF project at the University of Arizona
Goals
The purpose and goals in working up a new version are as follows:
- Write code in a modern language (Python)
- Drop support for Xray diffraction data
- Add features recommended by current Crystal Sleuth users
- Allow portability to linux and perhaps also MacOS systems
- Learn (and document) how Crystal Sleuth works
