These pages began several years ago (in 2002) as a place where I hoarded links and information about parrots that I found on the internet. and Then I wrote some things of my own.
A random note: The importation of wild birds (legal importation) was stopped in 1992 with passage of the Wild Bird Conservation Act of 1992. (This means that one of my birds, which once had a USDA import band, is at least 32 years old as of 2024).
Now I have decided that I would like to make the world a better place, in particular for parrots! And I thought that I might be able to do this by putting information right here that would help people take better care of their pet birds, so here we go:
